Here are a few recent scans of some fairly recent 4×5 negatives made of the Henry’s Fork in flood stage.
This past weekend my friend Scott Wheeler and I drove over to Jackon to give artist talks to students of Michael Sherwin. Michael runs a workshop over there every summer for his students from West Virginia University. It was great. After the presentations we had dinner with Michael and another photography professor, John Holmgren. After dinner we went out to Schwabacher Landing in Grand Teton National Park for an evening shoot. It was beautiful. Here is Scott making a photograph.
The Henry’s Fork has a lot of water in it right now. In some places it’s flooding, especially in the lower stretches. Here are a couple of photographs taken of the river at Fort Henry, near Parker.
The Stone Flies are hatching and the fishermen are out in force. I took a few photographs of the Lower section of the Henry’s Fork this weekend. Here are a couple of panoramas with the tilt shift lens.
